The external pressure storage type heptafluoropropane fire extinguishing system is different from the traditional internal pressure storage type heptafluoropropane gas fire extinguishing system (4.2MPa / 5.6MPa). The power gas used to transport the fire extinguishing agent is stored separately in a dedicated power gas bottle group. After the system is started, the power gas is released, and after being decompressed by the pressure reducing device, it enters the fire extinguishing agent bottle group, pushing the fire extinguishing agent through the fire extinguishing agent delivery pipeline to the protection area for fire extinguishing. Compared with the internal pressure storage type heptafluoropropane system, the external pressure storage type heptafluoropropane fire extinguishing system has the following advantages:

1) The fire extinguishing agent delivery distance can reach more than 200 meters, which is suitable for long-distance delivery and large space protection area;

2) The delivery pipeline has a small diameter, which can reduce pipeline investment;

3) The nozzle inlet pressure is higher, which improves the atomization effect of the fire extinguishing agent, shortens the spraying time, and improves the fire extinguishing efficiency;

4) Under normal circumstances, the original Halon 1301 pipeline network and equipment room can be used, which is conducive to the transformation of the Halon 1301 system.

The external pressure-type HFC-227ea fire extinguishing agent is stored in a liquid state in a fire extinguishing agent bottle group at room temperature. The saturated vapor pressure of HFC-227ea fire extinguishing agent is 0.3MPa at 20℃. It is impossible to use a pressure gauge to detect whether there is leakage of the fire extinguishing agent in the bottle group. A liquid level measuring device is used instead of a pressure gauge for monitoring. When the loss of fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguishing agent bottle group reaches 5% of the filling amount, the liquid level measuring device can send a leakage signal to the connected leakage alarm host.

The leakage alarm host is connected to the liquid level measuring device on the fire extinguishing agent bottle group to monitor whether the HFC-227ea fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguishing agent bottle group is leaking. When the amount of fire extinguishing agent leakage in any fire extinguishing agent bottle group exceeds 5% of the filling amount, the leakage alarm host obtains a leakage signal through the liquid level measuring device on the bottle group. The indicator light corresponding to the fire extinguishing agent bottle group on the host control panel lights up and an alarm sounds, reminding that the fire extinguishing agent bottle group has a leak. It can also be connected to the fire alarm control to feedback the leakage alarm signal.
